When I am trying to open my Windows Firewall an error is appearing instantly, the error code id is 0x6D9. I have attempted the services, and windows firewall is not an option to see if it is "started" or not. It doesn't even appear on the list.

Hi Friends …:)

Please disable all your firewalls and antivirus from your computer system, first. Examine in connection with the temporary files and delete them and start your program again I am sure it will give you cool results if does not then follow the instructions.

  1. Login as Administrator in the operating system
  2. Press STARTwrite RUNwrite SERVICES
  3. Find Win Firewall Services in SERVICES pan and double click it.
  4. Set the STARTUP type as AUTOMATIC in properties window box.
  5. Press START button to start the services, if you find the button as STARTED then stop once and again START it.
  6. Press OK and exit from the Win Firewall Properties and close SERVICE window box.
  7. Now, read this for a clear view.

Sure, your problem has been resolved, but if does not then it may be a virus infection and you should go about getting an advance antivirus system for curing your operating system.

Good Luck

The windows firewall may be having some kind of a problem:

  • It may have been temporarily disabled, and therefore you can try restarting the computer and see if that will fix the problem. Restarting the computer will refresh the settings, and therefore if the firewall was idle or temporarily disabled it will start working again.
  • It may be disabled by a possible virus attack, and therefore you will need to do the following to fix that:

    • Run system restore and restore the system to a time before you started experiencing that problem, so that there was a virus that attacked the system within that time frame, it will be removed.
    • Run a full system scan if you have an antivirus application installed on your computer, so that any viruses that are affecting the computer will be captured and removed.
