Hi experts,

I have been using Oracle software since 2010 but after updating I got this error message saying “You have not provided an email address”. Experts always know the solution of every problem so I hope best for the solution. Thanks!

That dialog box you received is actually not an error. It is only a prompt reminding you of the choice you made on the previous screen of the installation before you click Next. On the previous screen, you were asked to provide your email address to get you informed about security issues, installing the product, and initiate configuration manager.

The screen shows you a checkbox for “I wish to receive security updates via My Oracle Support”. When you uncheck the box and don’t include an email address, you will be prompted with a dialog box asking you to be sure that these selections are correct. On that dialog box, simply click Yes.
