Norton 360 did not detect trojan virus

My Windows XP 64 bit system was recently attacked by a sys32 Trojan virus.  I launched Norton 360 with Threat Removal Layer and Safe Web but came up with nothing.  I installed Avast Antivirus and scanned my PC and that's where I detected the Trojan.  Why did Symantec Norton 360 not detecting this?

Norton 360 did not detect trojan virus

Hello!

I have experienced this problem. Listen, you have to re-install your Windows. But before that, you need to ready a powerful antivirus like Norton Internet Security 360 or Kaspersky Lab.

After installing Windows, you have to install that internet security system and update as well. You have to do a full scan of your PC.
