But don't discount the LG Optimus 4X HD, which is shaping up to be the dark horse of the quad-core race. The 1.5GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor uses a fifth battery-saver core to handle less demanding tasks, such as active standby and music playback, while the 12-core graphics processing unit should allow for console-quality gaming. Should be worth a punt when it's released later this year.
