My USB pendrive is not working.

Hi,

Yesterday morning, I washed my jeans and forgot my USB pen drive in it. How stupid I am. I dried it with my hair drier and connected it to my computer. Unfortunately, it is not working.

I was asked to format the drive but I am worried about my important data on it. Is there any process to get my data back?

My USB pendrive is not working.

When such a scenario happens in your daily life, everything seems lost, but it isn't so. The most important thing, is to stop using the USB drive. Don't try to store new files or to transfer.  This way, you will minimize the data loss.

There are many USB data recovery software online. USB data recovery software is used to recover files from USB which are deleted, lost after virus infection, formatting or any other reasons.  All you have to do is to type the USB data recovery in your browser and you will get many solutions to your problem.

Here are only a few you can use: USB Drive Data recovery, USB Data Recovery Software and Wondershare Data Recovery.

Lost files can be recovered but it is never a 100% assurance, and that's why, I suggest backing up files regularly.

My USB pendrive is not working.

First, you can try to recover your drive. Then, your data will be recovered. If you have put your drive in the water and now, it is not showing any result then, take a mug of grain and keep it in this bug for an hour. It will remove all the water from the drive and once there is no more water in the drive, it will work back. But if you have tried all these and no results came out  then, you can simply recover your data by connecting the device and by using the disk operating system and the DOS systems. You have to implement some DOS commands and then your data will be copied to your computer.

It is an easy process and if you are a programmer then, you can definitely handle it easily. Otherwise, if the chip was also damaged and was not able to store any charge, then, you will not be able to recover your data. But, it depends on your USB condition on how faulty it is.
