My printer takes a lot of time in spooling

Whenever I give a print command to my HP desk jet color printer, it takes minute or two just for spooling. I think its a long time. After giving the print command the green light blinks for almost 2 minutes and after that it starts printing. Should I be worried about it?

If your printer doesn’t have any previous pending print jobs then the problem is probably caused by the printer software. Try reinstalling the printer software. Since you are using an HP printer, uninstall all HP applications from your computer to make sure the driver is completely removed. Click Start, Control Panel, and then Add or Remove Programs.

Uninstall all HP applications one at a time. Restart the computer when you are prompted. When all HP applications have been removed, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C then click OK. Check “Temporary files” and Setup Log Files, click OK then click Delete Files.

Restart the computer. When the system has booted, connect the printer to the computer then turn on the printer. Install the HP printer software. When it is finished, run a test print to see if the printer will behave differently as before. Also, make sure the USB cable is connected properly on both ends.
