I use a Panasonic NV-GS27EB camcorder. When I plug the usb in the device is not recognized by my laptop. (Compaq)

Hey Adan!

This was also my problem with which i fought for 2 months but in the end i got a solution to overcome this error.

First of all let me clear you one thing, if you plug your Panasonic NV-GS27EB camcorder in you USB port it will always not recognize it. What you need to is just to install a "Firewire Card" to overcome this problem.

Once you install it, connect your Panasonic NV-GS27EB camcorder with it. Now you will not face this problem anymore.

Now right click on my Computer, go to Properties. Click on Hardware and select Device Manager. Here make sure that you cannot see a yellow sign of exclamation.

I thought your problem with your device is only with an ordinary computer webcam. A camcorder is different from a webcam although they both shoot videos and anything. A webcam is a computer-dependent device.

You can not use it without a computer to make it work and capture images or shoot a video and most of these types of hardware are plug n play which means you don’t need to use and install any extra card for it to work, although you need an installer to make it work and it comes with it in package.

You just need to plug it on a USB 2.0 port and it will be automatically recognized by the machine.

A camcorder does not require a computer to operate and shoot videos. It works very independently and in order for it to be connected to a computer you need to install a firewire card.

After installing a firewire card you can then transfer your videos from the camcorder to the computer.

Thank you Tunacao_Caaron1 and Sharth Reddy. I looked at the package and found no driver installers. I phoned the store and asked if they have one said they don't. I'm still searching for some drivers. But maybe I'll use a Firewire card like you said. Thank you for the help! Thanks TechyV!
