My Micromax mobile q3 hangs with 2 GB MicroSD

I bought today a Micromax mobile Q3 GSM phone.  Why is it that the phone hangs when I install a 2 GB Memory Card?  I have to remove the battery and memory card for it to work again.  It says in the manual that you can install up to 2 GB MicroSD.

Dear Lynn Delmerico,

Your Micromax mobile Q3 GSM phone should support up to 2GB MicroSD memory cards.

But your issue in installing it and hanging up your phone, can be due to MicrSD itself so you should format it by placing it in your pack through a reader and perform a format order from my computer for its drive and then choose to be FAT and default allocation size.

Then place it in your phone to try the solution, it will be working.
