My LG dvdrom Stops working suddenly like power is down?

My LG dvdrom just stops while working. When we are copying some thing or trying to play directly some thing it suddenly stops and my pc also slows down due to this. And after some time its icon disappears from My computer too.

Is it any type of Power failure or what because when it comes to work it performs perfect.

Good day,

There are reasons why your computer is experiencing this problem. You must consider the power supply, virus infection, and DVD-Rom drive.

However in your case the problem arises when you use your DVD-ROM drive, you must isolate this problem by using a different DVD-ROM Drive, use other CD in order to check if the CD Drive can read / write data, check your CPU power supply and power connector if properly connected and lastly, update and run your antivirus.

If you are experiencing very slow computing performance on your computer, you may want to try checking your system for any sign of viruses. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your computer.

If you don’t see an option in your antivirus to perform the full system scan, just try scanning all your drives for any possible virus. If the result turns out to be negative, try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.

For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like PC Tools Performance Toolkit.

Use PC Tools Performance Toolkit to clean your Windows registry, check your hard drive for errors, optimize the registry, cleans the whole system for temporary files, cache, web browser history, empties the recycle bin, optimize the hard drive, and others.

If your computer only uses around 512 MB of RAM or maybe lower, try adding more RAM to your system to improve its performance.
