The tool you have been suggested is the best free downloading manager I think present around for time being. Other alternates that I have been using include Free Download Manager and Jdownloader. As I mentioned its the best so you should stick with it and beside just downloading normal files it also allows you to download flv (video files from sites like YouTube.com).

The download managing procedure is self explaining as you install the software. It will ask you for the browsers from which it will be automatically download. Just check the browsers options if you have more than one and we will leave the rest on the software. Further I you want to change some settings you can always use the options menu.

If you are in search for the best download manager to use on your computer, you can try Free Download Manager or often referred to as FDM. It offers a powerful set of features and an easy-to-use interface. It is an excellent alternative to IDM or Internet Download Manager. It also features pause and resume function similar to what Internet Download Manager has.

Aside from FTP and HTTP downloading, Free Download Manager also supports torrent downloading. This means, you don’t need to download and install a separate torrent client like Tixati and BitTorrent. You can instantly download torrent files using Free Download Manager. To try it, go to Free Download Manager to download. It supports Windows XP and higher.

For Mac users, go to Get Free Download Manager to download the Mac version. It supports OS X 10.9 Mavericks and higher.
