Hi all,

I wish to know about exchange 2010 dag backup best practices. I have Windows 7 running on my computer. Could anyone help me with the best backup plans for exchange 2010 DAG?

I believe that it would be great to do the full & differential backup into the same folder. You should be knowing this, that you cannot perform GRT backup for the differential one, so may be for example, if you are doing differential on weekdays & Full on Weekend, then this is the only example. Probably on Tuesday, one of your mailboxes is corrupt, andnow you need to restore it back so for that you have to configure the recovery storage group &after that, restore last full backup and differential and then use “exmerge.”Hence, the process is quite lengthy when you wish to restore few emails or mailbox. So, in your case, backup is going to the disk so it would be a great option.
