Please help me to fix the 0x81000101 shadow copy error in Windows 10. Turning on the VSS and Windows Backup did not solve the issue. Is there any other way out?

Is There Any Way To Fix The 0x81000101 Error In Windows 10?

You can try the following methods to fix the 0x81000101 error in Windows 10.

Method 1

a. Create a system restore point.
b. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
c. Type Regedit and press enter.
d. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VolSnap.

e. Click on Edit -> New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value.
f. Name the file as MinDiffAreaFileSize.
g. Double-click on the file.
h. In the value data field, enter the size of your shadow copy area. Enter the value that is a multiple of 300 and greater than your requirement.
i. Save the changes.
j. Restart your computer.
k. Check the results.

Method 2

As you said that VSS and Windows Back services are turned on, try this –
a. Open Services.
b. Open both the services one by one.
c. Go to the Dependencies tab.
d. Make sure the services shown in the Dependencies tab is running.
e. Make the changes.
f. Restart your device.
g. You will no longer face the error.
