I have iPhone 5s and it is running on IOS7, when I make calls I don’t hear the bell ringing but when the person picks up the phone, I can hear it. When I restart my phone the problem is gone but it comes back after some time. What could be the possible reasons for the issue? How can I fix it?

Try updating your iPhone 5s to the latest iOS since there is no option in the phone that can be adjusted for the ringer when making calls. If you already have iTunes on your computer, update it first. Start iTunes then go to the menu then select Help and then click “Check for Updates”.

If you don’t have iTunes, download it first from iTunes 12.0.1 Download. It supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. If you have 64-bit Microsoft Windows, download iTunes 12.0.1 for 64-bit Windows. The 64-bit installer doesn’t support Windows XP and works only on Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.

Once iTunes is updated, connect your iPhone to your computer then select your device in iTunes. Click “Check for Update” in the Summary pane and then click “Download and Update”. See image.
