IPhone 3G just keeps on asking for an update

I purchased an iPhone 3G with model number a1303. I synced it with my computer for the first time. iTunes said it needed an update so I run the update then disconnect it from syncing. After few days, when I need to upload music to my iPhone, I synced it again with iTunes and I have been asked again for an update. I disconnect then reconnect it again but the same thing happened. What should I do next? Help please!

Update and restart the computer as well as your phone. Then try to connect with your computer.I think after that you can transfer file to your mobile.

Hi Gabriel,

This happens if there are new updates release by Apple. Try to finish all the updates if necessary, if the problem always occur after you update your device and iTunes ask for an update again, restart your device. This can help you to refresh the system of your device because sometimes, iTunes recognize some devices are not updated with the latest release of updates. This problem could also be the cause of the new OS of iPhone which is iOS 5. Since iOS 5 release, there are many errors arises, so the problem could fix by restoring your iPhone or take it back to the nearest Apple store for them to fix it or they will replace it with a new one.
