Master's,

Help me with my problem. I'm installing some of my files here. But when I'm in the middle on installation the error came up and keep on popping-ups even though I restart my computer. The files that I'm trying to install is some kind of music program. I don't want to say what kind of program because I don't want to advertise it. See error message below.

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2738.

The installer has encountered an unexpected error code is 2738

This message is normally received when installing a third party application. Even uninstalling of the software doesn’t help to get rid of this. There are different solutions for this. Try them one by one.

1.      Go to this web site and download the utility to remove this error. Press scan and then after scanning is complete press the repair button.

2.      Or try following:

• Go to start button in taskbar and open command prompt in the taskbar.

 

• Right click on it and press run as administrator.

• A new window will appear. Just copy the following in that window and  press enter.

o   cd %systemroot%system32

• Now type the following.

o   regsvr32 vbscript.dll

• Just press enter and you are done with it.
