Ichat is not working on Macbook?

Hello,

My iChat on my new MacBook Air is not working. It always says wrong ID or password which is impossible. Can I create an new ID or how do I fix this?

Hello,

There may be several reasons for the IChat that made it not to work.

1. Follow the below steps.
2. Try to disable and renewable all the accounts.
3. If it does not work the try the below step.
4. Uncheck SSL under server settings in the preferences of IChat.
5. This could solve your problem.
6. Try to login with your account.
7. If the problem still persists contact customer support.

Hi Feist88,

    It is possible that there are issues with transition to other chat portal. Best to do is not to have a very long password since most chat portal only support up to 16 letters. You can create a new @mac.com username and when you log in type in <username>@mac.com. Or if you have a gmail account, try logging in using <username>@googlemail.com, seems that there is a problem regarding the transition between two portals.

First. Check all your credentials if it's typed correctly or not, Second, be sure that when you've created an account, your uppercase command is turned off, just to be sure that you haven't mistype the credentials when registering for an account. It is also said that you can create a new apple ID and sync it again on your iChat application.
