Hi experts,

I downloaded videos from various video hosting/sharing websites. Unfortunately I found some of them are out of sync audio and video. I want to fix them on Mac and I am using DivX video player. Please tell me how I synchronize audio and video in DivX.

Thanks

In order to synchronize your video and audio in divx video file, viewer should follow this steps. First, download Virtual Dub from the internet, at https://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdub/ . Next, open video file that is out of synch ,and play  video in Divx Player. Right –click on video, select File Information from drop down menu. The information contained can have a data 29,9690 fps, which is a video frame rate. If we assume the video is ahead of the audio, we should follow this procedure. Open video in Virtual Dub, by clicking File, and click Open , and select your video. Navigate to the movie avi , click video and click direct stream copy. Click Video, and click frame rate. Next, click radio button “change to_frames per second”. Enter a number “fps” subtracted with 2/1000 (0.002) in space that is opened. You will have now 29,9670 fps. Click OK, and click save Avi. Using Divx Player, open video that was saved in Virtual Dub, and check for synchronization. If it is again out of sync, you need to move your video back again, by setting “fps” in Virtual Dub. Repeat and save avi file.
