I just encountered an openoffice error reading file

Hello experts,

I just encountered an openoffice error reading file. I cannot open all my openoffice file records and I need to resolve this immediately for I need to submit some files and any business transaction. Is there a way we can  fix this kind of error? I hope you can help me regarding this matter. For additional information I am using a windows 7 operating system. Thank you

Hi,

The following steps may help you:

1. Check the compatibility of open office with your system. If it is not compatible on your system then use the version that is compatible with your system.

2. Check the registry for any errors. Type regedit in the run bar and hit enter. In the registry window check whether all the values are set to default or not. If not, select all the files and set them to the default values.

3. Check the bin files in the program files folder on your computer. The bin files are responsible for the applications to open and close, so if there are any errors in the bin file the whole application is affected.
