I encountered an error while troubleshooting host profile

I encountered this error “An error occurred during host configuration” while troubleshooting host profile. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Cannot apply the host configuration.

I encountered an error while troubleshooting host profile

Hello Robert

If you are trying to edit host then it will show error message like this. Host file on windows is securely protected, so it's not possible to edit without changing permission.

First right click on host file then go to advanced setting and change the security setting to your PC  account from manufacture.

After changing setting close the file and now try to edit it, it will not show any problem.
