HP Stream 11 Laptop is responding for 10-15 minutes

Hello, recently I have bought HP Stream 11 Laptop. This is a very nice cloud storage based Laptop. I am having a serious problem with it. The problem is- whenever I use this Laptop for 4-5 hours and restart it for any necessary needs, the Laptop works very slowly or not responding for at least 10-15 minutes.

I’m just confused when you said your laptop is not responding for about 10 to 15 minutes. It is not clear if this thing happens during the shut down or when starting up the computer. It is normal for the computer to have a slow shut down process or the shut down takes time when the machine is used for long hours.

This is because most of the programs you used are still left running in the memory and the computer needs to terminate and unload them from the memory before the computer can finally shut down. But in case your problem is with the startup where the computer consumes time to boot the computer, the problem has something to do with the number of applications that start with Windows.

You see, the more applications that start with Windows, the longer it takes for the operating system to complete its boot. If you know which programs start with Windows, try removing the ones that are not needed from the Windows startup. Some of the programs that start with Windows can be found in the Startup folder located in All Programs and then Startup in the Start menu.

You can also run the command without quotes “msconfig” from the command prompt then go to the Startup tab to see the applications that start with Windows. You can remove them from the startup by unchecking the item that you don’t want to start with Windows and then click OK. You need to restart the computer for the changes to take effect. See image.

Generally, if there are software changes in your device. Then it will off course take time to restart it. You no need to worry about that. But if there are no software changes, then there might be the problem. Please check that your system is getting hot while using it regularly. Also install a fresh window.
