How to update to android for xperia x2

Hello

I had just found my former phone in our drawer, and it is still working. I want to make a good use of it again. I guess I should start working on the OS first. My unit is a Sony Ericsson Experia X2. Since it is running on windows, can I shift my X2 from windows to android? Is there an OS android for Xperia x2?

 

CTRL + Q to Enable/Disable Go Photo. it

How to update to android for xperia x2

Hi Jason K Shivers,

Good day! If you want an update for your Sony Ericsson Xperia x2, you have to go to its menu, and find the settings button and then tap it, look for the system area of each settings categories, from there you can see the system upgrades tap it and search for an available update. If you cannot see the system upgrade option, tap the About phone menu and then upgrade the system.

Hello,

Sony have already developed a working Android OS on the X10mini with slide-out keyboard, I am sure It will not be that hard to make a few adjustments to suite the X2. Although the X2 hardware is a bit weak for the Android OS today. I would advise you to just keep on using the Windows mobile OS on the phone.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 is a discontinued 3G Smartphone operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies. It was announced to the public on September 2009 and released on January 2010 measuring 110 x 54 x 16 millimeters and weighing 155 grams. It uses mini-SIM card with optical trackpad and QWERTY keyboard.

It has TFT resistive touchscreen display with 65K colors at 480 x 800 pixels screen resolution featuring Xperia panels UI. It ships with Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5/6.5.2 Professional powered by Qualcomm MSM7200A chipset, 528 MHz ARM 11 processor, and Adreno 130 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 16 GB. It runs on 256 MB RAM with 512 MB ROM and 110 MB internal storage.

The primary camera supports 8 megapixels with AF featuring LED flash and can record video in w480p at 30 fps. Video call is supported via SW update. It doesn’t have secondary camera. It has 3.5-millimeter jack, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g with DLNA support, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, GPS with A-GPS support, stereo FM radio via software update, and microUSB 2.0. It has built-in accelerometer sensor.

The pre-installed Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser supports WAP 2.0/HTML with RSS feeds. It runs on removable BST-41 Li-Po 1500 mAh battery with standby time up to 500 hours on 2G and 640 hours on 3G. Talk time is up to 10 hours on 2G and 6 hours on 3G. It is available in Elegant Black and Modern Silver colors.
