The male symbol “♂” is actually the astrological symbol for Mars while the female symbol “♀” is the astrological symbol for Venus. Now, if you are using Microsoft Office Word and you want to insert these symbols on your document, it’s actually easy. In your Office Word document, select “Insert” tab then click “Symbol” on the upper right corner of the screen then click “More Symbols.”

Inserting a symbol

If you haven’t used the symbol yet, it won’t appear on the dropdown box. In the image above, you see both symbols because I already used it before that’s why they appeared. On the next screen, in “Font,” select the “Times New Roman” font. Scroll down until you find both symbols. Select one of the symbols then click “Insert.” It should then appear in your document.

Insert the symbols

Repeat the same steps to insert the other symbol and that’s it.
