How to open documents from production server DB

Why is it that when I tried to open documents that I copied and pasted to Development server db from production server db  is giving error like “The server is not responding with this database, should notes need to switch to a duplicate or another server” , even though old documents opened correctly in the Dev database.

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

That error is possibly occurring because the database server that you are trying to access is not responding, and that may be because the backup that was being set has been canceled. To resolve that problem you will need to do the following.

We have established that the error appears while backing up a large number of Lotus Domino databases, and also to add on that, the job log might also be having issues and therefore you might find it reporting a corrupt database or skipped files. Therefore you will just need to make sure that the backup process runs successfully without any interruptions or errors in order to eliminate the errors.
