How is it possible to stop search history of Windows7?

I am a Windows 7 user and surf internet all day long. I share my PC with some of my family members but I don't want them to see the websites I browse. 

Please suggest me the way out of it.

How is it possible to stop search history of Windows7?

Hi Andi,

Hope the following steps will guide you in fixing this issue.

It's when you perform a search in Windows 7, it will be automatically added in the search history so all of the recent questions that have used while searching will be in the Windows Registry for future references.

 

Whenever you want to search the Explorer then it shows the suggestions pop ups while writing the entry, Now you go to Start then type gpedit.msc in the search box and followed by Enter.

 

Now the dialog window will be appeared giving you some of the options but in this case you will have to select Enabled, which results in disabling search history in Windows 7 then click Apply after that close the window.

 

Now it's time to go back and see the updating that are done by trying to search and hence you will see that the Windows 7 will not give any results related to the recent search entries.

Hi there,

Definitely it possible to stop personal web history in Windows 7. Your problem is blocking the web history so that none can see what you have browsed earlier right?

The solution is simple, Just follow my steps carefully and precisely:-

1. Open internet explorer.

2. Click on the wheel like button on the extreme top right of your browser (settings button). 

3. Go to internet options in that drop down menu. 

4. In that general tab make sure you tick "delete browsing history on exit".

5. Click on delete button and click on the respective button to delete all history.

6. Now you are done.
