Hi

I am unable to install Adobe Flash Player on my computer. Is there any other version or similar software that is compatible with my 64-bit Windows Vista computer?

There should be an adobe flash player that is designed to work on windows 64 bit machines. And therefore what you will need to do is the following:

  • Go to Google or the adobe site and from there search for adobe flash player 64 bit.
  • From the search results there should be one that supports windows 64 bit.
  • Download it and then install it on your computer and see if it works properly.

There are plenty of other sites that you can get the flash player from, which are the CNET downloads, softpedia, majorgeeks among others. So just access any of these sites but make sure that you search for a 64 bit version of the flash player.

There is no alternate of Adobe Flash Player. Same problem was also occurred to my brothers PC. I had pointed out the problem. The installation was not completing due to viruses on his PC. So check your system for viruses. And then try to install Flash Player.

Unfortunately, 64-bit Microsoft Windows Vista is not supported by Adobe Flash Player so there’s no need to search for a 64-bit installer of Adobe Flash Player. Actually, the installer you download from the Adobe website supports both 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows depending on the version. For the following Windows operating systems, only the 32-bit versions are supported by Adobe Flash Player:

  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows Server 2008

For Windows 7 and Windows 8, Adobe Flash Player supports both 32-bit and 64-bit. For Windows Server 2012, only 64-bit is supported by Adobe Flash Player. If you want to install Adobe Flash Player, install the 32-bit version of Windows Vista and it should fix the problem. To download Adobe Flash Player, you can do it from the Adobe Flash Player Official Download Page or from the Adobe Flash Player Distribution Page.

In the Adobe distribution page, you will be downloading the standalone installer. When you are on the official download page, you will only be downloading the web installer.
