How to fix error: unknown filesystem grub rescue

Hello,

I get the following error after bios:

GRUB loading

error: unknown filesystem

grub rescue > _

 

I have ubuntu and windows 7 and I can't access any. It happened right after I updated windows 7. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi

The picture you are showing is that the problem you are facing is with the window 7 due to which it is also not allowed you to use your Ubuntu. The only option you have to solve this issue is that:

1. Install the windows again and first format the whole c drive where the window 7 has placed and then install it and then do not update the window until the real requirement required so install your window and it will solve your problem and this will get you rid of your problem. This is very easy otherwise there is no other solution I have got and I have searched so better solution which I have provided you is that install the window again. Hope this solution will solve your problem.
