I'm running a LMDE Cinnamon on my Acer computer. I'm having a problem with the icons in the system tray. I want to reset their size. How to fix the cinnamon taskbar icon size? Please suggest a detailed method.
I found a faster way to amend the system tray icons on the Acer. It involves one modification. Open /usr/share/cinnamon/applets/[email protected]/applet.js and find this on line 8; const ICON_SCALE_FACTOR = .88;
I wished my tray icons to be sixteen pixels and the height is twenty five pixels thus I modified this size too .64. You'll be able to confirm your desired size by dividing desired font size / panel height. The panel height of your theme is overridden in cinnamon settings.
Now your icons like update manager, Skype, truecrypt, Xchat etc., can show during a similar size to the remainder of the icons.
