I have Mac with OS X Mountain Lion and was wondering if it is possible to extract frames from movie on mac?

If it is possible then tell me how it is done.

Hello Peter,

You will need to load the videos into iMovie, and after that play through in order to find a point where you like the picture and then do the following:

  • Go to Edi and then Make Still Frame or something like that.
  • After that you can drag the stills made in iMovie to a folder.

Or you can do it this way:

  • After you have found the place you want to convert to a still frame you will need to right click on it.
  • And then you will choose "add still frame to project"
  • After that you will right click on the still frame and then choose "reveal in finder", the bottom most option.
  • It appears as a jpeg in a folder.

Regards,

Carl
