I'm new to SharePoint 2012. I am given a task to create a Timecard in SharePoint 2012. How should I start? Is it possible to create a Timecard or Timesheet in Sharepoint 2012?Â

Hello,
First you should activate Group Work by choosing Site Settings, then selecting Manage site features and click on Activate Group Work Lists feature. When this is done, open the site in SharePoint Designer and from the file menu choose Add Item, then from More Lists select Time Card. This is Time Card with default view. Also will be created a page with .aspx extension and you will be able to edit your Time Card from browser or from your SharePoint Designer.
If you want to edit from browser, open your Time Card from browser, click on Time Card View->Configure Views->List Settings. Here you can define working hours. Non work days view will be black if you don’t have created Holidays list before. Calculate should be changed to Yes.
