How to convert from 64 to 32 bit?

I use windows 7 64 bit version but now I want to convert from 64 bit to 32 bit. How can I do so? Do I have to reinstall the

windows to downgrade it? Any advice would be appreciated.

How to convert from 64 to 32 bit?

Hi there , 

There are lots of Windows programs that doesn't support 64 bit architecture. So that good to change to 32 bit . 

Let me remind you that these 2 has very different process stuffs and you need to re-install it. Use the advance properties in windows and backup your files and then re-install it . 

1. Insert the Windows 7 DVD .
2. In boot options select DVD as 1st boot.
3. While booting You can see 2 options select Advanced .
4. Now you can see all the drives in that select C drive (If that your current Windows 7 64 bit ) then format it , Create a partition.
5. Click next and then choose the x86 from the options and then install  it.

Hi Frank ,

Hope the following steps will guide you in fixing of this issue.:..:

You have to install it when you are installing operating system in your machine and you can even manually select the type of bit you are about to use in system.

 

If the windows repair is not working properly mean its definitely the problem may be with in itself as it may be missing some files so that it cannot be repaired.

 

It may be also due to the crash error of the operating system and also try by formatting the operating system by installing a fresh and original copy so that it might work properly.

 

Even the problem is not resolved the problem might be in motherboard and its better to install drivers once again so that there is a minor chance that it might work properly and it is fully supported.

Thanks Lesten Pasio,

I found out that my drivers are not compatible to 32-bit. But I really want to reformat my laptop. So I followed your instructions and choose 86-bit.
