How can i uninstall Internet Explorer from Window 7 Ultimate?

I am trying to update Explorer but I can't until I uninstall the old one. It is not in Add / Remove programs. I am having a hard time to find the solution on search button. Can someone help me how to do this. thanks.

How can i uninstall Internet Explorer from Window 7 Ultimate?

To disable IE from your Windows 7 PC, click Start> Control Panel> Programs> Uninstall a program.

You can see the list of all programs installed on your computer. Internet Explorer is not on the list since it comes pre installed with Windows PC. On the left pane, click the "Turn windows features on or off" to launch the Windows Features box.  You will notice that the Internet Explorer is selected. Just untick the Internet Explorer check box to disable it And click OK And then restart your computer.

Hi Katrina linao.

This is how to uninstall IE on windows 7 ultimate:

Step one :

Go to Control Panel, (Start > Control Panel) on View by category, choose small icons

Step two :

Choose Programs and Features in the Control Panel List

On the left side of Programs and Features window click on Turn Windows features on or off

Step three

The [Windows features] screen will open, and on [turn windows features on or off], search for Internet explorer 8, Uncheck the box next to it, the confirmation window will appears with warning “Turning off Internet Explorer 8 may affect other Windows features and applications installed on your computer.” just click Yes, After verifying then click OK and Wait until the progress finish

Step four :

After that you will get windows screen says “You must restart your computer to apply these changes”, click Restart Now

After coming back from the restart, the Internet Explorer 8 is successfully uninstalled.
