Hi,

  • Generally laptop web cam by default stores picture in my picture folder by default. The location is C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorMy DocumentsMy Pictures.
  • Or by default all pictures will stores from laptop web cam in its driver software which is installed in C drive. Location of this folder is C:Program FilesWeb cam. Here you may find a folder that was storing pictures by default.
  • You can change or specify the download path before each download in laptop web cam.  This is very easy job. For this you just follow few steps. First open your laptop web cam driver software and then go to its tools menu on the top of menu bar. Then configure Save as option and select any folder you like.

  • Photos are stored in different paths based on the laptop/webcam brand. Mostly it will be stored under My Documents. But you always have the option to change it.
  • Go to the webcam application software which is used to take snaps. Select Settings. There will be an option to change the path where photos & videos are stored.
  • If you provide the laptop brand/webcam software, you can search it in Google to get the exact method.

In Microsoft Windows, there is a default folder called “My Pictures” where pictures or images go when you grab a screenshot of your current screen using an application or take a shot with your webcam. This is the default save folder for all images you save on your computer unless you specify a different location in your application. The path varies by operating system.

For users with Windows XP, the default save folder is located in “C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\My Pictures”. For Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10, the path may be different but this is not a problem because the folder is easily accessible with Windows Explorer.

To access the default save folder for images, start Windows Explorer then look for “My Documents” on the left pane or anywhere on the screen and click it. You can also click “[username]’s Documents” if you have it on your screen like for example, “Ualhalla’s Documents”. This is the same “My Documents” folder. Next, double-click “My Pictures” and that’s it.
