Hotwire installation and configuration issues

I installed Hotwire in my home and removed the existing Comcast system. In my network, there is a remote hard drive that I store movies that I have downloaded so that I can watch them later. This network was working perfectly with Comcast but it does not work with Hotwire. Does anyone know a configuration that will work?

Hotwire installation and configuration issues

To analyze the network problem total network architecture is required with all the IP address. My guess is you IP address has been changed after installing hotwire. You should use traceroute and ping command first and find out where you can reach. Verify the gateway address of the remote hard drive. You have not given the device name so I cannot determine the configuration. But yes the configuration needs to be changed. You need to be on the same IP address range to be able to access the hard drive or you have to use router if your PC and your hard drive is in different network or you need to connect the hard drive with the network and your PC needs to be connected to the Internet to continue the access.
