Hotmail accounts in Outlook 2010

I have configured my to Hotmail accounts in Outlook 2010. One of it works fine and I am able to send/receive emails. However the second one hangs half the way on clicking the send/receive button. The send bar loads fully but the receive bar stops in the middle. Please help me resolve the issue.

Hotmail accounts in Outlook 2010

Since the send bar loads fully and the receive stops when the message is being sent, then the problem here is with how you have configured the POP3 settings which are used to handle the incoming messages. There might be some problem with how you have configured them and I suspect they are the following:

• You might have used wrong character in the addresses. For instance, you might have used commas to separate the words instead of full stops as follows: pop3,gmail,com instead of pop3.gmail.com.
• You might have misspelled some words also, for instance: pop3.gmail.com instead of pop.gmail.com.

You will therefore need to check for such mistakes and fix them.
