Dear Experts,

I was trying to transfer my old PC’s DNA system settings and application settings, network and printer settings, data files and folders, email address books, photos and music to my new laptop still with Win XP using CA Desktop DNA Migrator.

However, I got this error message while restoring the files to the new laptop.

C:Large_SelfExtracting Exe.exe

C:Large_SelfExtracting Exe.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Can someone from this forum help me resolve the error?  Thanks in advance.

Hi Miguela,

Try to download again your CA Desktop DNA Migrator, maybe some files will be corrupted during your download process. If it will not work then you download similar programs like CA Desktop DNS Migrator, some program was not design for window or the program is design to Linux only. If it is a virus then stop using it as i mentioned try to download another software similar to CA Desktop DNA Migrator. You can also check your new hardware if it is compatible or not, maybe it's old enough to run this CA Desktop DNA Migrator program. If you install it in the CD, try to reinstall the application and clean the CD to make it sure it work. If it is not working then the last solution is to reformat your hard drive and install all application including drivers, to make sure it will run.

Thanks.

Hi,

Your just simply check your application if there an files as be corrupted and then try to check the software if its suitable to your operating system then try to uninstall the software to your PC and then after that your just simply reinstall again to your machine and then you just simply restart the machine to be safe or to avoid any error and problem again if it’s possible and then after that if it’s not working at all and then maybe the software is not properly download you just simply download new one and then try to uninstall the old then reinstall the new download to your computer then try to download the error repair tool to scan the error from your computer.
