We have time synchronization issues in a very Windows 2003 R2 domain environment. I bully the Microsoft article “kb 816042 the ability to create an authoritative time server for the associated degrees in Windows Server” to check if our domain for W32Time is organized properly.

Fixing Kb 816042

You must assemble your PDC emulator for your root domain only to ensure a reliable time supply. It is recommended to use the W32tm command instead of boosting the parameter for the written record.

To restore the default settings of the Windows Time Service:

– Open an electronic communication

– Run: w32tm / unregister and reactivate the server

– Open an electronic communication during the rebirth

– Run: w32tm / register

To assemble a reliable external source of time:

– Open an electronic communication

– Run the following command: w32tm / config / manualpeerlist: / syncfromflags: manual / iable: yes / update where IP1 and IP2 are the external time servers.
