How an Windows 7 user will work about File/Folder permission and change ownership rights on Windows 7 and what's difference from Windows XP/Vista?

For Permissions:

Select the folder, right click on it and click the properties. In properties there is a Security tab in this tab there is a button named advanced click on it and select the user. After selecting the user click Edit and check the full control.

For OwnerShip:

Select the folder, right click on it and click the properties. In properties there is a Security tab in this tab there is a button named advanced click on it and search for Owner tab.

In this tab there is a button named Edit. Click on it and then advanced and select the user. After selecting the user Check the Replace owner on sub containers and objects.
