Experiencing marvell crc error. Please help.

Hi there! I need an expert advise on what to do on this error I kept on receiving. Everytime I try to download and install a game on my favorite site this marvell crc error appears.

" The file c:BigFishGamesBigFishdata.saf doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file"

What should I do? Thank you.

Experiencing marvell crc error. Please help.

I will ask you to try another website to download your game because of the reason that your game files are corrupt and they are causing error in game installation. Also please see your computer specifications before installation of game.

Hi,

CRC errors arise when the setup files become corrupt or face problems in extracting. The problem is inside the game not in your pc.

Get another version or re-download it from gaming sites. Be careful at the time of downloading. 

The power failure or net failure may damage the downloaded file.

If you are receiving a “CRC” error when installing the game, it means the installer you downloaded has a problem or contains corrupt files. This can happen if you downloaded the game or installer from a different site not from the official website. The problem happens as a result of modifying support files in the installer.

To make sure you are getting the original, unmodified version of the game, download only from the official website. When a file has a CRC error, it means the file itself is already broken. CRC is the short term for “Cyclic Redundancy Check”. It is a method used to identify errors in digital data.

It is a hash function that detects unintentional changes to raw computer data normally used in digital telecommunications networks and storage devices like hard drives. In CRC, a constant number of check bits or frequently called a “checksum” is appended to the message that needs to be transmitted. The data receivers receive the data and examine the check bits for any errors.

Data receivers accurately verify the attached check value by finding the remainder of the polynomial division of the contents transmitted. If an error was identified, a negative acknowledgement is transmitted asking for data re-transmission. In your case, since the problem is triggered during installation, try downloading the game again from a different website.
