Error 2728.Table definition error: MsiDigitalCertificate

I marked my fundamental MSI release build as normal (with a valid certificate .pfx file for Setup.exe and the Windows Installer package).

That's going well in the earlier period, but not since exercise of IS2009 SP1.

Error 2728 occurs in the period of installation (Windows Vista)

Error 2728.Table definition error: MsiDigitalCertificate

Hi Rebecca,

It is an issue with the ISWiBuild.dll file.

There is a hot fix on the Flexera Software site found here:

Before you make any changes to your system, be sure to back up your current ISWiBuild.dll file, which should be found here: C:Program FilesInstallShield2009System, as the hot fix will replace your ISWiBuild.dll with a new one.

If you can't download that hotfix or it doesn't work for you, try copying the ISWiBuild.dll file from a system that is working, paste it to the directory above, after backing up your current copy of course, and register the .dll file through the command prompt.
