How do you get rid of the message that pops up on your computer screen with almost every mouse click? The pop up message is stating: Documents has encountered a problem and needs to close. Can someone please tell Microsoft about this issue?

That may be a possible bug in the windows explorer application, and therefore you will need to fix using the following workaround:

  • The first thing that you should try to do is upgrade the windows explorer to the latest version. It may be a rough idea and therefore not one hundred percent sure if it will solve the problem.
  • You should also check the internet explorer that you are using. Try starting it in the No Add ons mode. You can do that using the procedure below:

    • You will need to right-click on the blue desktop icon.
    • Next select start without add ons.
    • You will then click on start, and then all programs, and then navigate to accessories.
    • Click on system tools and then choose internet explorer (No add ons).
  • Restart the computer and see if the problem has been solved.

The problem is not usual.

1.       The computer may be affected by viruses or malwares downloaded from the internet. This causes the system to degrade performance.

2.       The system is in large problem as the purpose of the system is done based on the parameters of the current usage. Once some file is corrupt, the system is that error pops up.

3.       You can stop this by disabling the popup manager.

4.       The files may have been deleted. Update the system to get back them.

5.       Before that run a latest good antivirus scan for the entire hard disk and delete all the viruses.

If that happens with every mouse click you are doing, it probably indicates that your operating system is not in good shape. But first, make sure it is not caused by a virus infection. Update your antivirus and perform a full system scan on your machine. If the scan turns out good, perform a much deeper scan by downloading Sophos Virus Removal Tool.

It is a tool that can detect and remove those hard to detect malware that can hide from normal antivirus detection. If the scan finds something, remove it then repeat the scan until it no longer detects a virus. On the other hand, if both scans return negative, try running the System File Checker tool. Click “Start”, “All Programs”, “Accessories”, and then “Command Prompt”.

If you are using Windows Vista or higher, right-click “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator” to launch an elevated command prompt. In the command prompt window, type without quotes “sfc /scannow” then hit Enter. If you are prompted to insert your Windows setup CD, insert the CD and continue. This will check your system for corrupt or invalid system files and replaces them with correct and working ones.

See if this fixes the problem.
