I would like to buy a new speaker for my phone. I’ve heard that Altec Lansing LIFEJACKET will be released April 8. I want to know the materials used in this speaker? How much will it cost? What are the best features of this device? Is it shock proof? What do you mean by IPX67 waterproof? How long do I need to charge this speaker? How long I can use it before it turns off? What are the power requirements for this speaker? What are the ports available for syncing? How many speakers does it include?

Debut For The New Generated Out-Door Speakers

The Altec Lansing Life jacket speaker has a rubber shell, and this means it is shock-resistant and can endure damage from elements such as mud, dirt, sand and dust, amongst others.  The jacket is rubberized and is IPX 67 Water/Dust/Shock-proof rated, which indicates that the speaker can be submerged into water of up to 1 meter deep.

It has a battery life of up to 16 hours, and it takes only 4 hours to charge the fully flat the battery. The front of the speaker has 2 forward facing speakers which is protected by a metal grill.  In the front of the speaker are the two LED’s – one for powering and / or charging and the other one to connect the speaker via Bluetooth.  There is a small rubberized door to cover the USB input, the auxiliary jack and the USB port.

It is compatible with an Apple device, Blackberry smartphone, tablets and laptops. Depending on where you buy this speaker, the price is between $114 and $149.99.
