DCOM is large problem or not

It is  good and best for us that is Microsoft  . I like it very much . I have

a problem for my pc. My pc is Windows XP . After running my pc  come infront

me a smll box . In this box i find some tex and in order that is call stop windows.

40 or 50 seconds automatically it is stop my pc . It show DCOM windows problem.

What is it ?

The actual mystery behind the problem is that MS Search services begin earlier then Web Storage System and resultantly Microsoft Search service attempts to start the Web Storage System (WSS) by using Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM). But WSS is protected to stop applications starting the WSS with DCOM.

Hence, this error appears. There are several methods to change settings of DCOM but it is suggested that changes should not be made in registry and also don’t change your DCOM setting to automatically access of Web Storage System (WSS). It requires reinstallation of windows to avoid this problem.

Hello Mickhel,

This seems to be a problem of configured protocols on local domain. DCOM is a windows Embedded Standard 6.1 (7600). This problem usually occurs while accessing the COM service on remote computer. In order to resolve this issue do the following,

·         Make sure that the remote computer is online.

·         Check the firewall settings for blocking relative COM Port used for remote connection.

·         Use the Event Viewer for Extended Remote Procedure Call (RPC) error.
