Crt monitor changes its settings on its own

My brother is using an old personal computer with a CRT monitor. Lately, the monitor changes its settings on its own like the screen position and its brightness. Its like the menu and the up down buttons is press continuously that the screen is dancing and moving from the other side to another. Is this problem can be fixed?

Crt monitor changes its settings on its own

I think this is and old monitor or it is mishandled. Anyway don’t worry this problem can be fixed. I am quite sure there is some hardware problem most probably the part where there are buttons. Try to use a blower to blow air in monitor so that it get cleaned and if there is some problem because of dust it will be solved.

If not solved take this monitor to some technician and he will get it fixed for small charges.

But my suggestion is that you should sale this monitor and try to buy a new one.
