I have installed Red Hat Linux 5 in my de. Now i want to connect my modem with my desktop.

How can i do it?

Hi,

How to connect modem with Linux red hat? It depends on your modem category or company and also depends on your Linux kernel version. I am giving you some tips but you need to use them a little differently as the category of your Linux kernel version and modem company.

1.       If you have a modem which is not a plug and play modem then you must install its module in your Linux kernel and then you have to install its driver software in your operating system.

2.       If you are using latest kernel version for your pc then it must have the module of modem. Then only you need modem driver software for it.
