I was wondering if it was possible to change the login screen background. I know it is possible in Windows 10 but I am using Windows 7 operating system. I want to change welcome screen Windows 7. Can someone help?
Yes it is possible to change the welcome screen or login screen background on Windows 7 as well. However, I must however inform you that it is a long process and some people can actually find it difficult.
Open the Run Dialogue using Windows+Run. Then type %regedit%. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software> Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Authentication > LogonUI > Background. Double-click on OEMBackground and change this value to 1. Click okay. Now go to your System32 folder and create a new folder called info and in this folder, create a folder named backgrounds. Place your picture here. Name the image backgroundDefault.jpg.
