Can you screen lock a Galaxy Note 2 or iPhone 5?

Hello experts,

My daughter used to watch YouTube videos on my phone. I am using Note 2 and iPhone 5. The problem is she keeps on pressing on all my apps and some of them are accidentally deleted. How can I lock my Note 2 and iPhone 5 screens while she's watching on YouTube?

Can you screen lock a Galaxy Note 2 or iPhone 5?

Unfortunately, there is no way you can screen lock your Samsung Note 2 or your iPhone5 to prevent your son from pressing the screen while he is watching. While waiting for that kind of feature to be added on your smart phones, I suggest that you buy a housing / casing that will allow the phone to stand on its own so your son can watch YouTube without holding the phone.

Can you screen lock a Galaxy Note 2 or iPhone 5?

Guided Access is a new that is added to the iOS6 which is really useful for educators and parents who wish to lock their iPhones in one app mode.

To use this feature, go to “Settings >> General >> Accessibility >> Guided Access. Turn it on by sliding and set a password of your choice.

Your phone will now be locked with one app that you have selected. To unlock triple click on the Home button and enter the password to end it.
