Hi folks,

Hello and thank you in advance for your help! =)

So here, I have a TV Thomson LCD to which I can connect a USB key to play movies for example. My problem:

I have two movies on my USB key, the second in AVI format (supported by the TV), which can read without a problem, but not the other and it gives me a message:

"Codec not supported" (meaning the sound of the film but there is no image).

How do I play this movie?

Your best option here would be to convert the movies. There are a lot of converters out there, but before you proceed, try to first check the specs of your player. Your settings should match that of your player. Standalone players do not just play ANY avi, it must me within the specs of what the player will play.

Try to use WinAVI video converter, it’s the fastest one out there and converts the video with excellent precision as well. Some players react to movies that have quarter pixel, although the movies are indeed better with this format, next is the movie format could be greater than what the resolution for your player is.

Some players even choke on file sizes that are extremely big. So far that is the only legit advice that I can give you regarding your concern.
