With release date of the much awaited Samsung Galaxy 3 soon to be announced, is this mobile phone really anticipated to be an even bigger hit than the Samsung Galaxy 2 and the Apple iPhone 4S?

Well as far as Samsung Galaxy S3 is concerned then all I can say is that unlike Samsung Galaxy 2 and the Apple iPhone 4S or any other advanced Smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S3 is a whole new concept of technology in itself which is striving to become a natural part of our life with an aim of making our world wider by empowering us to explore it freely and swiftly.

The following specs and features have been widely reported for the Galaxy S3 and we would be surprised if this upcoming Android smartphone turned up without almost all of these inclusions. Hotly rumored is an Exynos quad-core processor, to match the wave of new quad-core processor handsets such as the HTC One X. An increased screen-size to 4.6-inches also seems likely and only yesterday we heard of the possibility that the new display could rival that of Apple’s iPhone. Other expected additions are a step up in camera to either a 10 or even 12-megapixel rear shooter, 2GB of RAM, LTE connectivity, NFC (near-field communications) support and the latest Android OS, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

So now you can expect   the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be bigger hit than Samsung Galaxy 2 and the Apple iPhone 4S.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a 3G Smartphone operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies. It was announced to the public and released on May 2012 measuring 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 millimeters and weighing 133 grams. It uses micro-SIM card and has Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution.

It supports multi-touch protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 with TouchWiz UI. It ships with either Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.3 Jelly Bean powered by Exynos 4412 Quad chipset, 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Cortex-A9 processor, and Mali-400MP4 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 64 GB. It runs on 1 GB RAM with internal storage available in the following capacities: 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB.

The primary camera supports 8 megapixels with f/2.6, LED flash, and autofocus featuring 1/3″ sensor size, face and smile detection, geo-tagging, and touch focus. It can record video in 1080p at 30 fps. The secondary camera supports 1.9 megapixels with f/2.6 and supports 720p video recording at 30 fps.

It has 3.5-millimeter jack featuring Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, and hotspot support; Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, EDR, and aptX support; GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS support; NFC; stereo FM radio with RDS support; and microUSB 2.0 with MHL TV-out and USB Host support. It has built-in accelerometer, gyro, compass, barometer, and proximity sensors.

The pre-installed web browser supports HTML with Adobe Flash support. Java is not supported. It runs on removable Li-Ion 2100 mAh battery with standby time up to 590 hours on 2G and 790 hours on 3G. Talk time is up to 21 hours 40 minutes on 2G and 11 hours 40 minutes on 3G.

It is available in Marble white, Garnet red, Pebble blue, Titanium grey, Sapphire black, Amber brown, and La Fleur colors.
