I do not want to have to sync my mobile with my computer. I am wondering whether we can have an android application with the ability to open EssentialPIM files that are located in Dropbox or any other cloud drive. This would be great as it would help many people do the synching without assistance.  Please let me know your views.

Yes there is software that can be used to do such operation. The application name is boxcryptor.

It would be a nice app for you if you want to use it on the go to access epim.

Most people always prefer to the desktop version to edit the work well and to format it better but accessing it for a shorter time or making minor changes on the go can be sometimes very necessary.

So you can use this app to do it.
