What are the significant benefits that Hotmail has over Google mail? What are the distinct features surrounding the apps of this two softwares? In terms of functionality are there any clear cut demerits one has over the other? Are there any lessons to be learned by the developers and operators of Hotmail from Google mail and vice versa? Analyzing and comparing Hotmail and Google mail in terms of their benefits

The Hotmail and Gmail both has some benefits when compared to each other. However the Hotmail is no longer available and Microsoft shifted Hotmail user to Outlook.com.

The differences between these two applications are as under:

• Hotmail Wave 4 has unlimited storage, whereas Gmail storage is expandable.
• Hotmail attachments is limited to 50MB and Gmail's is 25MB.
• Hotmail has optional threaded messages, whereas Gmail functionality include threaded message automatically.
• Hotmail has integrated WEB & IM service by messenger & Gmail has Chat option etc.,

The demerit Hotmail has over Gmail is it's interface and Microsoft trying to improve it's Outlook service by far better.
